Simon Group Holdings Attends 2017 Polo Fields Foundation Golf Outing & Gala

Simon Group Holdings (SGH) attended the 2017 Polo Fields Foundation “Charity Begins at Home” Golf Outing & Gala last week at the Polo Fields Golf and Country Club in Ann Arbor. The charity event benefitted North Star Reach, a non-profit organization and summer camp supporting children with serious health challenges. Simon Group Holdings’ Managing Director of Real Assets, Faiz “Victor” Simon, and Senior Managing Partner, Michael Evans, represented Simon Group Holdings and supported the “Longest Drive/Closest to the Pin” sponsorship.

The purpose of the event was to support North Star Reach, a summer camp that opened in 2016 on 105 wooded acres in Pinckney, Michigan to serve children with life-changing health challenges and their families across the Great Lakes region. The camp promotes healing for children with transplants, congenital heart conditions, sickle cell disease and other serious health challenges. North Star Reach offers a state-of-the-art health center, staffed 24/7 by medical professionals from leading hospitals and medical centers throughout Michigan, Chicago, and beyond. The camp accommodates approximately 1,500 children with their family members each year. All campers attend free of charge.

“Simon Group Holdings is very passionate about supporting North Star Reach,” commented Faiz Simon. “We cannot begin to imagine the hardships these kids face. All children deserve the opportunity to attend summer camp, regardless of their medical conditions.”

The full-day event consisted of lunch and a golf outing followed by a cocktail hour and banquet dinner. The banquet dinner included both live and silent auctions. The auction items consisted of a variety of prizes ranging from a wine dinner to a trip to South Africa.

North Star Reach is a non-profit organization and a Full Member Camp of SeriousFun Children’s Network. For more information about North Star Reach, visit their website.
